Looking for a career in the Northeast Region? Riverside Co-op & Parkland Co-op are hiring a Temporary Full Time (1 year position) Human Resource Manager.
Who we are:
Riverside and Parkland combined includes 6 communities, 16 site locations and over 300 team members.
What you’ll do:
Working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• Demonstrating day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-op’s vision, mission, values, brand, and focus on safety.
• Talent acquisition functions including attracting, selecting, and developing qualified candidates to meet the organization’s staffing needs and enhance overall employee performance.
• Leading acquisition initiatives including job analysis, posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and completion of the selection and onboarding process.
• Assisting with the development of training plans and evaluating development programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with employee growth and company objectives.
• Employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a positive workplace culture through regular feedback, performance reviews, and recognition programs.
• Coaching and mentoring managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations and conflict resolution, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that ensure legal compliance, fairness, and consistency across the organization.
• Supporting performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback sessions, and managing performance improvement plans
• Oversee the Health and Safety Coordinator and work together on safety compliance, WCB reporting, audits, investigations, and training for employees in all areas of Health and Safety.
• Collaborating with Federated Co-op and North Corridor Office Manager to administer payroll functions.
• Collaborating with leadership teams to assess and address organizational development needs, ensuring HR strategies align with business goals.
Who you are:
You are passionate about a career in Human Resources and:
• You have a post-secondary Diploma or Degree – related field preferred (Business or Human Resources) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 3-5 years of Human Resource experience.
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written), listening and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows.
• Experience in Oracle HR programs is considered an asset.
• Exceptional organizational skills including managing time, multiple tasks, and accurate documentation.
• You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
• You must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel 2 to 3 days per week.
